Luminus raised over £2,600 for charity in its annual Football Tournament & Family Fun Day in partnership with St Ives Rangers.

The event was held at St Ives Town FC on Sunday 6 September. Colleagues, family and friends turned out to support the 5-a-side matches as well as enjoy a barbeque and a range a fun activities such as face painting, bouncy castles, giant bubbles, inflatable rides and more.

Luminus also ran a charity cake sale and a raffle, with many great prizes that had been generously donated by a number of sponsors, including Manchester United football tickets, A football signed by the entire Manchester United squad, Hotel Chocolat hampers, a signed Arsenal FC photograph, restaurant vouchers, a Butlins Family Day Pass and paintballing vouchers.

The money raised will go to the Carers Trust and Ability Counts, a St Ives Rangers disability football team run by Roger Bates.

Luminus Anti-Social Behaviour Manager, Phil Rozier, who organised the event said, “I’d like to thank all those from Luminus and St Ives Rangers who volunteered to provide a fun day for those attending. Not only did everybody have a great time, but the amount raised was a record for this event, and it will go to two wonderful causes.”
