The two apprentices will specialise in Heating and Plumbing during a two year scheme during which they will attend college Peterborough Regional College one day a week. The apprentices will achieve a National Vocational Qualification Level 2 on completion of the scheme and will have the additional benefit of gaining practical work experience combined with the guidance, support and direction to enable them to maximise their career opportunities.

Dr Chan Abraham, Luminus Group Chief Executive, warmly congratulated the apprentices on their appointment, saying,

"In 2016, our year of Refining Focus, we want to make a better future a reality, and see our young people thrive, so I am delighted to welcome two new apprentices to the team. We are strongly committed to investing in our communities, and creating job opportunities is one of the ways we are doing this. We believe that apprenticeships are paramount to training the next generation of skilled employees and I look forward to seeing them join the ranks of our highly skilled tradesmen, who do a great job looking after our homes. I would encourage other companies to follow our lead and join Luminus in making progress along The Road to Renewal.”
