On Friday 16 December staff at Luminus, the UK’s Best Employer and Premium Brand housing provider, wore their warmest, wackiest and most wonderful festive woollies to work for Save the Children’s annual Christmas Jumper Day and raised nearly £130.

Joining hundreds of thousands of people in schools, offices and homes up and down the country to help to make the world ‘better with a sweater’, employees dug out their seasonal knits and accessories to raise money for Save the Children. The money raised will help save children’s lives in some of the toughest parts of the world, including Syria, Liberia, Haiti and Bangladesh, through emergency relief, education, healthcare, child protection, and tackle poverty and hunger for those in need.

Lesley Kisby’s amazing ‘elf dress’ won her a box of chocolates in the ‘Best Festive Jumper’ competition and much fun was to be had by all.

Dr Chan Abraham, Luminus Group Chief Executive, said:

“Year on year, Luminus employees have got into the festive spirit and donated generously to support the great work of Save the Children. We understand that to achieve our 2020 Vision – to mend broken Britain, and transform our world – we need to work together. This includes supporting the great work of charities and organisations who are also seeking to build a better world.”
